Players at this Year’s September 25 Event Who Choose to Participate in the “Hole-in-Two” Promo Will Have a Chance to Win a Trip to World-Famous Pebble Beach

New Britain, Conn., July 24, 2026 – Charity Golf International Long-Drive Pros Eric Lunt and Andrew Fernandes, who last year dazzled the field of more than 230 at the Golden Kielbasa Veterans Open with their prodigious drives for charity, will be back at this year’s event September 25 at Tunxis Country Club determined to raise even more funds for the cause.

The appearance last year by Lunt and Fernandes, athletes and entertainers extraordinaire, was a popular bonus for the large group of 2025 “GK” participants. Thanks to players who chose to participate in the charitable promotion when they came upon Eric and Andrew out on the course, Charity Golf International was able to donate more than $3,000 to DAV Chapter 8 last year to support the cause.

Here’s how the “Hole-in-Two” charity promotion works: Lunt and Fernandes will be stationed out on the course on different par 5 holes for the entirety of this year’s GK. As groups approach their holes, the pros will make a brief presentation about the promotion and the cause. They will then hit a mammoth long-distance drive for each group that chooses to make a minimum donation of $200 ($50 per player) to the cause. Each player will then play a second shot to the green from the initial drive’s invariably ideal fairway lie some 400 yards from the tee. Those who hole out will win a trip for two to Pebble Beach.

Lunt, who hails from Middletown, has more than 10 years of experience as an on-course fundraiser and has generated well over $200,000 annually for charities across the United States. A 2013 World Long Drive Championship Competitor, his longest competitive drive was measured at 414 feet.

Fernandes, from Ludlow, Mass., has made six World Long Drive Championship appearances. His longest drive was measured at 428 yards.
