The Golden Kielbasa Veterans Open is Connecticut's premier veterans charity golf event. Presented by Liberty Bank and hosted by the Disabled American Veterans, Hardware City Chapter 8, the event has raised more than $235,000 for the DAV, House of Heroes Connecticut and many more Connecticut veterans charities.

More than 200 golfers, sponsors and supporters join together every autumn at Tunxis Plantation Country Club for a full day of golf, fun, dining and the honoring of those who served and sacrificed, now raising $30,000 – or more – at each year's event to support important programs assisting Connecticut veterans. The Golden Kielbasa is not your typical charity golf event: At each year's event, our post-golf dinner includes a full complement of military ceremonies and the honoring each year of a distinguished local veteran or veterans.
