The Golden Kielbasa Veterans Open is Connecticut’s premier veterans charity golf event. Presented by Liberty Bank and hosted by the Disabled American Veterans, Hardware City Chapter 8, the event has raised more than a quarter of a million dollars in support of DAV Chapter 8, House of Heroes Connecticut and many more Connecticut veterans charities.

More than 200 golfers, sponsors and supporters come together every autumn at Tunxis Country Club for a full day of golf, fun, dining and the honoring of those who served and sacrificed, typically raising more than $30,000 at each year’s event to support important programs assisting Connecticut veterans and active-duty military. The Golden Kielbasa is not your typical charity golf event: At each year’s event, our post-golf dinner includes a full complement of military ceremonies and the honoring each year of a distinguished local veteran or veterans with the prestigious Angelo Tomasso, Sr. and Angelo Tomasso, Jr. Veteran of Distinction Awards.
